Door Hangers may be delivered to each group’s assigned area beginning Sat Feb28th, 2010. Bags should be placed where they can be easily seen close to the front door. Bags should be placed where they are protected from wind and rain. Do not place bags in mailboxes.
Collection of food begins at 10:00 AM ON March 6, 2010.The Food Drive takes place rain or shine. Be prepared. Volunteers should work as teams so someone always knows where each person can be found. Bags are not always visible from the street. Volunteers should go up to each door to look for the food bags. Volunteers will collect 2 to 3 times as much food if they knock on doors and ask for donations. Knocking on doors requires adequate supervision and is left to the discretion of the group’s leaders. Volunteers may identify themselves as “Youth Food Drive Volunteers” collecting food for the local Tri-Valley Food Pantries. Try to deliver collections by 2 PM. Back to Top
